Pencil Practice

The most challenging part of creating the first pencil and the pencil container was filling in the container. The steps were complex and they had to be followed closely. My favorite part was making the body of the pencil.

The most challenging part of the second pencil and pencil container was working with the gradient. It was difficult getting the gradient to look exactly how I wanted it. My favorite part was being able to write anything with the pencil.

My favorite part and the most challenging part of creating the dog was making the bowl. Creating the bowl was a challenge, as well as, filling the bowl.

I learned how to use the gradient tool. In the future, I will be able to fill in any shape with the gradient tool.

I also learned how to create cylinders. I am now able to create any size of cylinder.

I learned how to fill in shapes. In the future, I will be able to fill in shapes.

Six Shot Sequence Reflection

The six shot sequence is composed of six different shots.

The first is an extra close-up. Extra close-ups traditionally show the hands.

The next type  is a close-up. Close-ups generally show the face.

Over the shoulder shots show the subject's shoulder and the back of the subject's head and neck.

Medium shots show the subject from the waist up.

Wide shots show the subject and part of the surrounding environment.

The final type is an extra wide shot. Extra wide shots show the surrounding environment and the subject.

The main thing I learned from this project is different rules about shots. I learned that there cannot be two extra wide shots back-to-back. I also learned that there should be a few medium shots or close-ups for every wide shot.

I will apply the six shot sequence to my future projects. I will make sure not to put to wide or extra wide shots back-to-back.

What is Graphic Design?

What is Graphic Design?

Graphic design is essentially visual communication. Graphic design allows the designer to have a meaningful, interesting moment with the viewer.

Parts of Graphic Design

Graphic design involves colors, typography, textures, shapes, lines, logos, symbols, landmarks and images. In graphic design, the most effective method is to evoke an emotion.

Effect of Graphic Design

Graphic design is a gateway for concepts and ideas. Many describe graphic design as "art with a purpose" or "a language for living". Graphic design allows expression and creativity.
